Hi ... here is a little bit about why I don't participate in blog awards.
When a blog owner receives an award he/ she is usually very flattered and touched., but many times they feel they can't fill the obligation that usually comes with it. So then they feel bad to turn away the award so as not to offend the one that gave it, and if they do accept it they may feel bad passing along an obligation to others. Many do enjoy participating in such awards ... and that is great! It is just something I don't feel comfortable with my self.
