I went with a light grey & off white checkerboard on the floor and a soft grey carrera marble for the counter tops. I will have better photos of everything with the bathroom reveal. I have to do some repair work on the walls ... because of some damage that was caused from removing the shower liner surround. Then I plan to paint the walls. So after the painting and some tweaking of accessories... the bathroom should be ready for its reveal. Here is a sneak peek of what I have planed :)
Above you can see a peek of the carrera marble vanity top.
Here in the above photo is an up-cycled Crown royal Liqueur bottle, that I painted the shiny gold parts white. I think they are such pretty bottles.
a hanging tote bag for extra storage.
And some old photos in a chippy shabby basket.
I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek and will stop back for the full reveal :)

Your theme is amazing, Francine! The major and minor details all came together smoothly--emphasis on the window and its trim. You did a very creative job to make an ordinary structure keep up with the design. How about the vanity? I'm curious as to how you made it look so shabby. Herb@Kroll Construction
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely sneak peek of your new bathroom. I look forward to seeing the final reveal. Thank you for linking up at Shabbilicious Friday.
ReplyDeleteSome people prefer medium-sized windows in their bathroom to make it elegant. I'm convinced that smaller windows can give a sophisticated and private look in yours. I love the fact that you painted the frame black. Great job on the bathroom! :)

This bathroom looks far from the yellow and white painted chamber it once was. The transformation is amazingly dramatic, as it took more than 6 years for the revamping to finish. It looks so much more urbane and stylish with the new color scheme and perky accessories. Congrats on a job well done!
