Out of my Comfort Zone

Hi everyone I thought I would do a little post ... just to let you all know I'm ok and share what I have been up to lately.

Well I finally got around to painting my buffet . I was going to paint it white, but then I decided to go out of my comfort zone a little and go with a blue.
Do you remember what it looked like before?  Here is a reminder :)
There it is in the back ... It looks so different now.  If you remember ... the chairs have had a make over too since this picture was taken.

It was so long ago that I started the transformation of the dining room, I thought it would never get done.  And  it's not ... not yet.
I am happy to say though, that the buffet is done and the painting of the walls and trim is about 90% complete.
here is a sneak peek at the walls and a full view of the buffet.

I hope to have a finished room to show you soon :)
Here are some more pictures of the buffet.
I used the same hardware to save some money ... but i think it goes really nice with the new color.
I did a little distressing with some sand paper and added a design on the doors.
I added the design on the doors...by using a light grey paint and foam stamp.  Then to give it a little of a hand painted look, I did a little coloring in with some green craft paint and some out lining with a dark grey craft paint.
At this point I am really excited to finish the room... I will let you know as soon as I do.
I am so glad you took the time to visit ... I hope you will come back to see the finished room :)
