I it is one big pocket with a smaller pocket in the front. We keep the remote in the small pocket in the front for easy access most of the time. If gusts are coming over and we wont be using the tv we put it in the back pocket ,because it is completely hidden in there. I sewed on a wide grossgrain style ribbon to the back with an opening and velcro closure at the top, so it could be hung. No more hunting for the remote.

Remote Pocket Made from Vintage Hanky
Hiding on the (left) side of the chest in my living room hanging from the handle is a remote pocket that I made out of a damaged vintage hanky.
