Smore-Nilla Anyone ?

Hi ... I would like to share with you a little treat I used to make with the kids when they were small. I'm going to call them Smore-Nillas. They are a lot like smores, but instead of gram crackers you use Nilla wafers. They are easy and fun to make.

What you need is chocolate, Nillas and mini marshmallows , to make them as you see them here you will also need mini semi sweet morsels and dipping chocolate.
First lay the nillas upside down on a microwaveable plate as you see here.

Then add a mini marshmallow to half and a small amount of chocolate to the other half.
Microwave for 10 secs. or so ... I usually microwave them until the marshmallow puffs up to double its size. Then quickly remove and sandwich them together. I usually stick the marshmallow ones down on the chocolate ones.  They will look like the ones below.

You can just stop here ... or if you want to go the extra mile you can ..... get creative:)
What I did was, I dipped them in dipping chocolate. I only dipped them half way.

Then I filled a bowl of mini chips and stood them up in the bowl so they wouldn't make a mess, since the chocolate will be soft and melted. Like the ones below.

You can set them in a bowl of chopped nuts, sprinkles , just about anything you think might taste good.
Then chill and serve. I would chill them about 20 mins or so ... until the chocolate hardens up. Then you will have something like this.

The next time I make them  ....I'm going to put lollipop sticks between the nillas before I stick them together. Kids just love anything on a stick :)
Grownups just love them.
I hope you will have fun trying them:)
